Video – Remmo Roundhouse

Remmo Niezen, who had his BMW swagger wagon @ the Red Bull World Drift Championships in ’08 – does a Parking Lot “Roundhouse” drift.

Impressive stuff, if you’ve ever watched Tokyo Drift (my least favorite of the F&F movies, come on “bow wow” and bro from Texas ALABAMA!) you’ll know about the Parking Lot drift sequence up the spiral ramp. You’ll be disappointed of you watch the behind the scenes and realize it was on rails and not a practical stunt driving move – Remmo shows us what’s up in his BMW – legit.

Rhys Millen did this stunt in F&F 3? In-Car take was done on rails…

Actually, Rhys did do the driving up the ramp in the F&F movie and did it in one take. They used rails for the in car where the actor was “driving”… Cool video, but i’m just saying…

just saying… if Rhys did it that’s awesome, Remmo took it to another level. Behind the Scenes made it look like it was always on rails. Not just for the actor’s close up. Thanks for the comment!

Rhys really did the stunt in one take. I see what sequence you are talking about with the rail and we can see that the actor is inside. It was obviously for the in-car footage. + the director confirmed that Rhys did it in a interview. At first they wanted to use the rail but Rhys just came to the director and told him that he can do it.
